Growing up in the City of Detroit through the twenties was an era for songs. It was a stage Motown’s sounding recordings were played and heard across the streets, clubs, home parties, and radio stations.
It was common to have the R and B documents playing the jukeboxes while people singing into the love songs that mastered the hearts of countless individuals at the barbershops and beauty parlors or danced in the streets. Rap songs and music CDs weren’t heard of throughout this period, it was about rhythm and blues spirit and the plastic records.
The songs which were composed by songwriters throughout the ’70s & the’60s had significance. They were songs that talked about pains of life adventures, present events, and frustration and love. Oh, Motown had it happening! Their songs became music. Motown went outside after giving years of support and good songs into the City of Detroit and Rap/Hip Hop transferred in.
