From Work At Home Guitar Teacher To Complete Music School

Andrew James Hymel is proprietor, the owner and music manager of Andy Hymel School of Music at Gretna, Louisiana. It’s a success story that’s transitioned to a consortium of educators and pupils who strive the significance of the preservation of the arts in the New Orleans of today from 1 man’s fantasy of audio instruction.

When asked about his Article Katrina encounter, Hymel depended upon, “It was frightful to reopen the college and it was just like starting over, but I felt that the community had something to work with as an outlet for those emotions brought on by Katrina. We were not merely rebuilding a music college; we had been rebuilding the heads and spirits of our pupils and their families”

Andy Hymel gained a diploma in Jazz Performance

University at New Orleans, LA. In a young age, his musical abilities developed by”jamming” with local musicians at the Algiers region, especially Frank Saucier, a normal solo artist in Kerry’s Irish Bar in the French Quarter. In the’80s, he honed his guitar skills in the World’s Fair with the vocal band”Celebration” and is to the day appreciative of the chance.

While his song’s achievements were self-developed, business acumen and his community involvement were inspired by his daddy.

Lloyd Hymel, his dad, is an elder of Saint Andrews that the Apostle Church and a pillar of the Algiers community. He had been Vice President of AMF Tuboscope in Harvey, Louisiana, President of the Petroleum Club and the West Bank Rotary Club, and Chairman of the West Bank Chamber of Commerce.

Among the brothers is Entergy New Orleans’ Chief Financial Forecaster and served as President at the University of New Orleans Alumni Association. Another brother, David Hymel, is from the gas and oil industry and for many years coordinated the petroleum area”Chili Cook-Off”; lately at Boomtown Casino and formerly at Alvin Andrew Callender Naval Airforce Base in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

One other brother, Greg, owned and worked a Zack’s Frozen Yogurt franchise and has been a Ginger Baker”Cream” design drummer. He is an artist/painter and can be exhibited in restaurants in the New Orleans region. The senior Mr. Hymel establish a good foundation for his kids to excel in business and community growth.

That said, it’s clear that Andy Hymel has parlayed his family values and love to a full-blown, reliable, college of music from a job in the home business.

Branching off by the safety of working at home, his college was started by Hymel in a place commonly called Terrytown, at 601 Terry Parkway at Gretna, LA. What began as a couple of pupils blossomed with 280 students and has had to relocate to a building at 1800 Stumph Boulevard. A guitar instructor, in addition, he teaches bass and piano. His teacher, Jumpin’ Joe Gelini, graduated in Boston, a fantastic achievement. The faculty has a huge array of teachers, such as trainers and group directors, covering genres and instruments. The high school guitar instructor from the Holy Cross of Hymel is on the payroll!

Mr. Hymel (maybe not his dad Lloyd) considers that music instruction can begin at the Pre-K degree and contains programs and original tunes set up for the youngest of pupils. In addition, he has classes geared toward”Baby Boomers” too.

Between these age classes, among his accomplishments that are astonishing is everyone was approved on their very first audition and that 5 of his pupils have received scholarships!

1 pupil starts with the Metropolitan Opera Association this autumn as an understudy. Alex Zander, Still another, is a singer/songwriter that is printed. Alex is a whole story to be composed of. Stay tuned.

Besides his achievements as a teacher and entrepreneur, he recorded and has composed countless tunes and his attempts are beginning to be comprehended. Most notably. The son of Clarence”Frogman” Henry, advertising himself as Clarence”Frogman” Henry Jr., is thinking about a lot of Hymel’s tunes because of his soon to be released CD.

That is merely the beginning. As a Beatles enthusiast, an ambassador of music instruction, along with a student of New Orleans music, the sky is your limit!

If you listen to me personally you will hear.
