Fatboy Slim biography
Norman Cook has undergone an exceptionally diverse profession. He is made or played on recordings such as hip hop, pop, home, and beat, and is among the DJs from the world under his Fatboy Slim moniker.
Fatboy grew up in Reigate and was created Quentin Cook at Bromley.
He had been heavily making a punk fanzine for a teen before fulfilling with Paul Heaton in 6th form school. He went to University at Brighton (he studied English, Sociology, and Politics) and started to DJ around town in which the club scene was flourishing at the moment.
He received a call requesting him to join up to substitute their bassist. The group was established in Hull, and Norman (because he was known) moved north to be together. They had a hit with”Happy Hour”, and finally had a number one single in 1986 using a cover of”Caravan Of Love”.
The team broke up in 1988 and Cook returned into re-invigorate his love. Norman had awakened with Damien Harris to make a new record label in Brighton, and Fatboy Slim’s”Santa Cruz” was its very first launch. They put themselves and called the tag Skint Records a mission to launch music with beats basslines and large that could be popular in indie and home clubs.
Fatboy had an additional hit in 1996 with”Everybody Loves A 303″, an homage to the classic Roland synth that sounds fresh now. He moved on to launch his debut album”Better Living Through Chemistry”, a record that spawned two additional singles in”Going Out Of My Head” and”Punk To Funk” and helped create the huge Beat genre.
The Fatboy second album, You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby, followed in 1998. Fatboy is among the DJs and producers on the planet and proceeded to release a compilation record, 2004’s Palookaville, along with another record.
