Bad Boys, Bad Boys, Whatcha Gonna Do…?
“Bad Boys” was the theme song for Fox’s television program COPS. The group Inner Circle released the song in 1989. The tv series COPS is still today and began in 1989. The series took on footage of police function and followed sheriff’s deputies and police officers through patrols.

2 brothers, Ian Lewis and Roger Lewis launched the team Inner Circle, in 1968. Among the other members Jacob Miller, and the singer heavily affected the team. Miller died in 1980 in an auto accident. The band awakened but released another record. From 1989 the tune that would eventually become the theme tune on one of America’s longest-running tv shows would be released by them.

John Langley and Malcolm Barbour created COPS. The series was popular before reality tv became the trend in the USA. Each episode aired for 30 minutes (22 minutes without commercials), edited from around 400 complete recording hours together with police officers. Over 650 episodes, the series has aired since its run, earning four Emmy nominations and winning the American Television Award in 1993. Its theme tune and the show, Bad Boys is engrained spawning numerous parodies and references.
